What is public access television?

  • Every city or town has a public access or community acess television station. These stations are open to residents of their city or town. Quincy Access Television has their public acess on channel 8, this station can only be seen on cable in the city of Quincy.

 

My band only plays covers is that alright?

  • Original renditions of songs written by other artists are allowed, what is not allowed is the direct use of copywrited material, such as content that could be flagged on youtube for copywright infringment

 

How much does it cost?

  • free, the show is run by volunteers.

 

Do we have to be from quincy?

  • No, however to become a volunteer, you do need to live or do buisness in Quincy

 

how does the green screen work?

  • the graphics machine will take an image file such as a backround or a logo and display it  where the green screen is. Before your show make sure to send over any image files you may want to use.

 

Is there backline?

  • no backline is provided, bring your own amps, but vocals are covered

 

How long are sets?

  • up to an hour of recording time available

 

Is it live?

  • No, it is being recorded, will air about a week afterwords on qatv, allow for processing time

 

is there a live audience?

  • no, the studio is not large enough to have an audience, however there is a breakroom outside that has a live feed from the studio

  • The Quincy Band Show is produced by and independent community producer. The opinions expressed do not necessarily reflect those of the QATV staff or board of directors.
